Football Grid on GridSport.Games is a daily 3x3 football puzzle in the Immaculate Grid style. Rows and columns name clubs, countries, trophies or achievements, and each cell wants a player who fits both. Every league has its own grid, new each day at 05:00 UTC.

About Football Grid (GridSport)

GridSport.Games runs three daily football formats, and Football Grid is its take on the 3x3 sports grid. Each puzzle has three row clues and three column clues, shown as club badges, flags or trophy and achievement labels, and you fill each of the nine cells with a player who fits both of its clues. A player can be used only once.

There is a separate grid for each league, starting with the Premier League and including La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and more, and all of them are generated fresh at 05:00 UTC each day and dated. You search for a player by name, and if he matches a cell he fills it in on his own; a counter shows how many of the nine you have. You get five help uses, marked as wrong answers, and a Give Up button.

Once a grid is done you can share it or replay it, and the site's Football Bingo and Football Wordle use the same leagues and reset time. It suits fans who know where players have been across their careers, and the single-league grids keep the field narrow enough for a fan of one club's league.

How to play Football Grid (GridSport)

  1. Open Football Grid and pick a league.
  2. Read the row and column clues: clubs, countries, trophies or achievements.
  3. Search for a player who fits both clues of a cell; a match fills the cell.
  4. Use each player only once and fill all nine cells.
  5. Share or replay when the grid is done.

Tips

  • Start with the cell whose two clues are rarest together; the easy cells can wait.
  • Players who moved between clubs often make the club-club cells.
  • Keep a well-travelled player in reserve for the hardest cell rather than spending him early.
