Games like Framed: daily movie guessing games
Framed shows you one still from a film and adds another after every wrong guess. Several daily games keep that shape and swap the stills for clips, posters or GIFs; others hide the film behind its reviews, its quotes, its cast or a row of emoji.

The closest games keep the frames. CineGuessr Daily starts from one shot of the day's film and shows another after every miss, up to six. Flickle at flickle.co does the same and adds the release year and genre after the third and fourth tries, with a separate daily TV show. Guess The Movie, the film edition of GuessThe.Game, adds a written hint from the second guess. WhatTheMovie's Today's Challenge uses one still that is revealed a little more after each miss, in a way that changes through the week. AFI's Get the Picture shows a single still and offers five titles to choose from, which makes it a gentler start. Flickle at flickle.app swaps the stills for short video clips, Scenedle plays a muted, blurred clip that clears after each miss, with separate dailies for a film, a TV show, an anime, a game and a music video, and Spectrle squeezes every frame of the film into one ring of colour that sharpens after each miss. If you would rather look at posters, Hollywoodle and ScreenIdle start blurred or pixelated and clear up with each try, Boxart Movies uncovers a poster tile by tile, and Movidle adds a trivia clue and a one-line synopsis to its poster pieces. Movie Poster Quiz asks for twelve films from their posters in one go.
The same idea works for television. Episodle shows frames from an episode and asks for the series, Whodle does it with stills from Doctor Who episodes, Trekdle with screenshots from a Star Trek episode that get easier after each miss, Spongedle with SpongeBob SquarePants screenshots, Blueydle with screenshots from a Bluey episode, and Giffle with GIFs from an episode of Friends or The Simpsons, telling you whether you have the right season. MusicVidle takes the Framed format to music: six stills from a music video, one more after each miss, and you name the song.
A second family hides the film behind words instead of pictures. Letterboxdle gives you one short user review at a time, easiest last. Quotesed reveals lines of dialogue, starting with the hardest. Plot-hole and KINO hand out written clues that get more specific, Plotwords gives one plot keyword at a time, and Reel Haiku tells three films a day as haiku, a line at a time. Emovi compresses a film into a few emoji with three guesses, and Mojie does the same under a theme of the day. Scaredle is for horror fans: each guess reveals how one character in the film died. Moviedle masks the cast list and shows which actors your guesses share with the answer, which rewards film knowledge more than memory for images, and CastMe shows one actor from the cast and adds another, with year, genre and director hints, after each miss. Screenplaydle reveals the cast of three films a day one actor at a time, then asks you to rank them by how much dialogue they have. gaps starts from the genre and runtime and fills in the release date, director, cast and plot as you miss, and Movie Reveal lets you choose which facts to uncover, at a cost in points. Spotle Movies, movie.wtf and Moviexto work like Wordle: every film you guess is compared with the answer on year, genre, score and more.
For something further from Framed, WhenTaken Movies asks where and when a scene is set rather than which film it is, On Location puts you inside a 360-degree view of a real filming location and asks for the film, and Actorle Storyboard names the film and asks you to put six of its frames in order.
If you like Framed for the pictures, add CineGuessr Daily, Flickle and Guess The Movie. If you like it for the film knowledge, try Moviedle and Letterboxdle. Every daily film and TV game we list is on the daily movie and TV games page.
