Today's Reeldle Daily Word board on 20 October 2026: the hint Male/Female Actor, six empty rows of four tiles, an on-screen keyboard and a yellow Enter button

Reeldle's Daily Word is a free Wordle-style puzzle for fans of Tamil films. Each day everyone gets the same hidden word, a Tamil film title or an actor's name typed in English letters, and six guesses to find it from green and yellow tiles.

About Reeldle Daily Word

Reeldle is a Tamil movie trivia site built on a database of 687 films, with their directors, composers, casts, box office and ratings drawn from TMDB and Wikidata. Its one daily game is the Daily Word: a Tamil film title or an actor's name, spelled in English letters, hidden behind a Wordle grid.

A label above the board tells you what kind of answer it is, such as a male or female actor, and the grid is sized to the word, from short names of four letters to longer film titles. The game takes any string of letters as a guess, so there is no dictionary check to get past. Each guess colours its letters green for the right spot, yellow for a letter elsewhere in the word and dark for a letter not in it. Everyone gets the same word on the same date, picked from a list of 481 film titles and actors' names, and the page asks you to come back tomorrow for the next one. Since the pick is by date rather than in order, a name can return within a few weeks.

The rest of Reeldle is unlimited quick rounds: name a film from five clues, guess which of two films did better at the box office, find the link between films, and a two-player trivia duel. The site can be read in English, Tamil script or Tanglish, needs no account and keeps to clues that do not spoil plots. It suits Kollywood fans who already play Bolly or BollyRiddl.

How to play Reeldle Daily Word

  1. Open the Daily Word on Reeldle and read the hint above the board: a film title or an actor.
  2. Type a guess of the right length in English letters and press Enter.
  3. Green letters are in the right spot, yellow ones are in the word elsewhere, dark ones are not in it.
  4. Use the colours to narrow down the name within six guesses.
  5. Come back the next day for a new word.

Tips

  • Start with a well-known star's name of the right length; Tamil names share many common letters.
  • Mind the transliteration: the answer is spelled the usual way in English letters.
  • Use the hint: a film title and an actor's name call for very different guesses.
