Pokémon Wordle on PokeTools (ポケツール) is a daily Wordle in Japanese where the answer is always a Pokémon. Each day's mystery Pokémon has a five-character katakana name, and you have six guesses, with Wordle colours on each character.

About Pokémon Wordle (PokeTools)

PokeTools is a Japanese fan site of Pokémon utilities, and its ポケモン Wordle turns the daily word game into a Pokémon quiz. The answer is a Pokémon whose Japanese name is five characters long, and it is the same for every player, changing at midnight Japan time.

You guess by typing five-character Pokémon names in katakana. Each character is coloured to show whether it is in the right place, in the name somewhere else, or not there at all. You have six tries.

It is free in the browser, in Japanese.

It suits Pokémon fans who know the Japanese names, and Japanese learners who want to practise katakana with a familiar cast.

  1. Type a five-character Japanese Pokémon name in katakana.
