The In altre parole archive calendar in the Corriere Giochi app

In altre parole is the Corriere della Sera's daily word game, devised by the columnist Massimo Gramellini. Each day there is one Italian five-letter word to find in six tries, Wordle-style; past days are in the archive. It is part of the Corriere Giochi subscription.

About In altre parole (Corriere della Sera)

In altre parole is one of the games in Corriere Giochi, the puzzle section the Corriere della Sera launched online on 15 July 2025, on corriere.it and in its own app. It is the work of Massimo Gramellini, the paper's well-known columnist, who chooses the parola del giorno, the word of the day. The app describes it as one question and six tries.

You have six attempts to guess a five-letter Italian word, with each letter marked to show whether it is in the word and in the right place, as in Wordle. Everyone plays the same word that day.

If you miss a day you can play it later from the archive, which is laid out as a calendar month by month, and the app keeps statistics: days in a row, best streak, games completed and win rate. Corriere Giochi is a subscription, sold on its own or with a corriere.it subscription, and included for Corriere Tutto subscribers.

It suits Italian speakers who play Wordle and want a daily word from a writer they read, and learners of Italian looking for a daily vocabulary test.

Tips

  • Start with a word rich in vowels; Italian words use them heavily.
