Viewdle
Rate itGuess the country from the day's scenic view in six tries, with distance and direction after each guess.
on viewdle.org

Viewdle shows you one photograph of a place each day and asks which country it was taken in. Each wrong guess tells you how far away the answer is and which way to go, and the colour of your guess card shows how close you are. You have six tries, with a continent clue and a capital city clue if you are struggling.
About Viewdle
Viewdle is a free daily geography game built around photographs of places: beaches, mountains, old towns and city streets. Its maker, Bharat Arora, says the idea came from guessing where the pictures on a TV screensaver were taken, and the aim is to help players explore and appreciate the planet.
Each day there is one view and one hidden country. You type a country from the list as your guess. If it is wrong, you get the distance from your country to the answer and a compass arrow pointing the way, measured along the shortest path across the globe. The guess card turns red when you are far away and yellow or green as you get closer.
You have six tries. After your third guess a continent clue can be opened, and after your fifth a capital city clue; the share text counts how many clues you used. When the round ends the game names the exact spot in the photo, such as Playa Conchal or Khan el-Khalili.
A streak counter, a stats panel with your guess distribution and recent history, a kilometres or miles switch and a dark mode round it out. The game has no ads and no sign-up, and its maker plans to keep it free, with an optional donation link.
It suits fans of Worldle-style distance games who want a photo to look at instead of a country outline.

Tips
- Look at vegetation, terrain and building styles to pick a region first.
- Use your first guess on a large central country to get a useful direction.
- Remember distances run along the shortest path across the globe, which can cross the poles or the date line.
- Opening a clue shows in your shared result, so try the distance and direction first.
