Around Here Somewhere on 28 October 2026: a Street View of white cliffs near Marseille under the target bar Find a group of 10+ people, with three guesses, a clock, corner map and Submit

Around Here Somewhere is a free daily scavenger hunt in Google Street View. Each day names one thing to find, such as a bicycle or a group of ten or more people. You tap the world map to land on a street, look around and walk until it is in view, then frame it and submit, with three guesses and a running clock. Past days and puzzles made by players stay open to play.

About Around Here Somewhere

Around Here Somewhere turns Street View into a daily search. Each morning the game names one target, the same for every player. The example on its home page is a bicycle, and Day 74 on 28 October 2026 asked for a group of at least ten people. Nothing tells you where to look. The whole planet is open, so the first part of the puzzle is thinking about where such a thing is likely to be.

You start on a world map. Zoom in and the roads with Street View coverage are shaded in blue, and a tap drops you onto the nearest street. From there you turn and walk as in any Street View visit, with a small map in the corner showing where you stand. A clock runs at the top beside three dots for your three guesses.

When the target is on screen you frame it so it fills a fair part of the view and press Submit. The game checks the frame for the target, and the how-to card shows a far-off bike that is too small next to a clear one. Accepted finds are ranked by time, and the best of the day are shown to other players under a nickname or anonymously.

The game went live in mid August 2026 and keeps every earlier day in its Previous puzzles list, with your games played, wins and streak at the top. A Community puzzles section holds hunts made by players. You can play without an account, and the privacy page says the site runs no ads. It suits players who like wandering in GeoGuessr but would rather hunt for something than name a place.

Tips

  • Think about the target before you drop. A crowd is likelier on a busy city square than on a country lane.
  • Zoom in before tapping. At world scale a tap can land in the sea, where there is no Street View to drop into.
  • Get close before you submit. A target that is tiny in the distance is turned down as too small.
  • Use the corner map to keep track of which streets you have already walked.
