Falling blocks with one shared sequence a day, built for your thumb.

Today's Swipetris board on a desktop: coloured 3D blocks stacked at the foot of the well, a blue piece falling, the next piece and the score of 122

Swipetris is a falling-blocks game made for phones, with a daily twist: every player gets the same sequence of pieces each day. You can replay the day as often as you like, and only your best run goes on the leaderboard.

About Swipetris

Swipetris takes the familiar falling-blocks formula and makes it a daily contest. Each day there is one sequence of pieces, the same for everyone, so a high score depends on how you stack rather than on the luck of the draw. Its own tagline sums it up: like Wordle, but with blocks.

It is built for touch. You drag to move a piece, tap to rotate it and flick to drop it, and the board shows your score, the day's best and the next piece. You can play the day's sequence again and again; only your best run counts. A top-five arcade leaderboard asks for five letters when you crack it.

The game is a single web page that works offline once loaded and can be saved to your home screen like an app. There are no ads, no coins and no premium tier, and the leaderboard is the only feature that sends game data to a server. It was made by bitbonsai and shared on Show HN in 2026.

It suits anyone who grew up on falling-blocks games and wants a short daily score chase on the phone.

How to play Swipetris

  1. Open swipetris.com on your phone or in a browser.
  2. Drag to move the falling piece, tap to rotate it and flick down to drop it; on a keyboard use the arrows and the space bar.
  3. Clear lines by filling them completely, the classic way.
  4. Play the day's fixed sequence as often as you like; your best score counts.
  5. Enter five letters if you reach the day's top five.

Tips

  • Because the sequence is the same every replay, learn the order of the pieces and plan your stack around it.
  • Keep one column open for long pieces to clear several lines at once.
  • Save the page to your home screen to play offline.
  • A run is saved as you go, so you can close the page and continue it later the same day.

Questions

Is Swipetris the same for everyone?

Yes. There is one daily sequence of pieces, the same for every player.

Can I replay the daily?

Yes, as often as you like. Only your best run counts.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free, with no ads and nothing to install.

When does a new Swipetris sequence start?

At midnight in your own time zone. The day's seed is taken from your device's local date, and the game rolls over to the new sequence on its own if you are playing at midnight.

Can I play on a computer?

Yes. On a keyboard the arrow keys move and rotate the piece, the down arrow drops it softly and the space bar drops it at once.
