DownRight Daily mode on iPhone: a 6x6 grid with pink right-arrow and purple down-arrow blocks, score 31, three pieces waiting below

DownRight is an iPhone and iPad block-placement puzzle with a twist: blocks carry down or right arrows, and you clear them by lining up three or more down arrows in a column or right arrows in a row. Its Daily mode gives everyone the same game on a smaller 6x6 grid, once a day, with a streak and a daily leaderboard.

About DownRight - Daily Block Puzzle

DownRight is made by BitBasil LLC and has been on the App Store since 2021. As in other block puzzles, you drag pieces made of small blocks onto a grid and try to keep space free. The difference is the arrows. Each block points down or right, and only matching lines clear: three or more down arrows stacked in a column, or three or more right arrows side by side in a row. The game ends when no piece fits.

The classic mode uses a 10 by 10 grid and can be played as often as you like, offline. Daily mode, added in April 2025, is the shared challenge: a 6 by 6 grid with smaller pieces, one new game each day, and the same game for every player. You get one daily game, so each placement matters, and afterwards you can share your score. Updates through 2026 added a daily streak count, optional daily accounts for the Top 10 leaderboard, and a leaderboard view for today and yesterday.

The look is minimal: pink right arrows and purple down arrows on a dark navy board, with no time limit and, since 2025, no music or sound. An Undo button costs a short ad, and a one-off purchase removes ads.

The Google Play version is listed as DownRight: Block Puzzle Game and was last updated in December 2024, before the Daily mode arrived on iOS, so the shared daily is an iPhone and iPad game for now.

It suits players of Block Blast and Blockudoku who want more planning per move, and anyone who likes a single game a day that counts.

How to play DownRight - Daily Block Puzzle

  1. Open DownRight and switch the mode menu at the top from Classic to Daily.
  2. Drag each of the three offered pieces onto the 6x6 grid.
  3. Clear blocks by lining up three or more down arrows in a column or three or more right arrows in a row.
  4. Keep placing until no piece fits; your score is final, since there is one daily game.
  5. Share your score and check the daily Top 10 leaderboard.

Tips

  • Keep a column free for down arrows and a row free for right arrows.
  • Do not mix arrow types in the same line unless you have no choice.
  • Since there is only one daily attempt, warm up in the classic mode first.

Questions

Is the daily game the same for everyone?

Yes. The App Store listing says every player gets the same daily puzzle, on a 6x6 grid.

How many daily games do I get?

One game per day, so make it count.

Does DownRight have ads?

Yes. Watching an ad lets you undo your last move, Google Play marks the app as containing ads, and an in-app purchase removes them.

Can I play the daily on Android?

The Android listing was last updated in December 2024 and does not mention the Daily mode, which arrived on iOS in April 2025.
