BrainBashers Slitherlink for 30 October 2026, 10x10 Medium: a grid of cross-shaped dots with clues 0 to 3 and the check, answer and auto buttons

Slitherlink on BrainBashers is a grid of dots with numbers between them. You draw lines between dots to make a single loop that never crosses itself, and each number says how many of the four sides around it the loop uses. Four sizes at three levels arrive every day.

About Slitherlink (BrainBashers)

Slitherlink is a loop-drawing puzzle. The board is a lattice of dots, and some of the little squares between the dots hold a number from 0 to 3. You join neighbouring dots with lines to build one continuous loop. Each number tells you how many of its square's four sides are part of the loop, and squares without a number can have any count. The loop may never cross or touch itself, so every dot has either no line or exactly two lines passing through it.

BrainBashers, Kevin Stone's puzzle site, posts 5x5, 7x7, 10x10 and 15x15 puzzles daily, each at Easy, Medium and Very Hard, with a 20x20 weekly special. The play page greys out finished clues automatically (you can turn that off), can highlight clues, and has check, answer, auto, print and restart buttons, an option to show mistakes, an optional clock and an alternative dot style. A help page with a walkthrough covers the standard patterns.

The set changes at midnight GMT or at your chosen time zone, and the date list keeps a few weeks of earlier days. No adverts, no account.

It suits players who like a puzzle that builds from small local patterns into one big shape, and the Very Hard grids are a real test.

How to play Slitherlink (BrainBashers)

  1. Open the Daily Slitherlink page and pick a size and level from today's puzzles.
  2. Draw lines between neighbouring dots to build the loop, keeping track of edges you know stay empty.
  3. Make each number's square have exactly that many sides on the loop.
  4. Keep the loop single and closed, never crossing or branching, with two lines or none at every dot.
  5. Check the loop or reveal the answer; new puzzles appear after midnight GMT.

Tips

  • Cross out all four sides of every 0 first.
  • Two 3s side by side share a line between them, and their outer sides are lines too.
  • A 3 in a corner has both of its corner edges on the loop.
  • A dot that already has two lines takes no more; a dot with one line must continue.
