Mind the Order's board on 20 October 2026: five landmark albums to order by release date, with arrow buttons, the Daily 1/3 counter, timer and Check button

Mind the Order is a free daily ordering game on the Homeschool of 1 site. Each day brings a Daily 3: three sets of five items on the day's subject, which you drag into the right sequence, such as earliest to latest or smallest to largest, with three checks per set. Your time is compared with the day's other solvers.

About Mind the Order

Mind the Order is a daily trivia game published on Homeschool of 1, a homeschooling resource site run by Clare Brown. Every day there is a Daily 3 for all players: three numbered games on the same subject, each built from five items you must arrange in the right order.

The subject changes from day to day across nine topics in a fixed rotation: books by first edition, events in American history, moments in world history, inventions and technology milestones, countries by total area, chemical elements by atomic number, films and TV shows by premiere, landmark albums by release, and famous artworks by date. The facts come from sources such as the Library of Congress, the National Archives, the Smithsonian and Wikidata.

You drag the cards, or use the up and down arrows beside them, into the sequence you think is right and press Check. Each game allows three checks, and a timer runs while you play. Finishing all three keeps your daily streak going, and the results screen tells you how your time compares with the day's other solvers. A calendar under Past games opens earlier days, and More games offers practice rounds in any of the nine subjects that do not touch your streak. A new Daily 3 starts at midnight US Central time.

Most of the subjects are about dates, so it suits history and trivia fans who like timeline puzzles, and families or students looking for a few minutes of quizzing. There is no account to make; the page around the game carries ads.

  3. Press Check to test your order; you have three checks for each game.
  4. Finish all three of the day's games to complete your Daily 3, keep your streak and see how your time ranks.
  5. Use Past games to play earlier days, or More games for practice rounds in a subject of your choice.

Tips

  • Place the items you are most sure of at the ends first, then slot the others between them.
  • Read the prompt: most subjects sort by date, but countries go by area and elements by atomic number.
  • Practice rounds in More games do not affect your streak, so use them on the subjects you find hard.
  • The timer counts toward your ranking, but the three checks matter more: take a moment before each one.
