Chrono
Rate itPut six historical events in the order they happened.
on chrono.quest

Chrono gives you six events from history each day and asks you to sort them from earliest to latest. You get three checks, and the game shows which events sit in the right place after each one. Separate daily games do the same with U.S. history, NFL history and NBA history.
About Chrono
Chrono is a free history game in the browser. Every day it draws a set of events from a database of several hundred, and every player gets the same six. The FAQ is open about how they are picked: at random, so some days put events only a few years apart and feel much harder than others. Players can suggest new events through a form linked on the site.
The events appear as a list of cards with no dates. You drag them into order, earliest at the top, and press Check Answers. Events in the right place are marked, and you rearrange the rest. You have three tries: solve it on the first and you earn gold, on the second silver, on the third bronze. A clock runs while you play, so your result also has a time, and the stats page tracks medals, win rate, average and fastest time and your streak. A win unlocks a bonus game with an earlier set of events.
The main game has three sister dailies on the same site, each with its own set and streak: Chrono U.S.A. with events from American history, and Chrono NFL and Chrono NBA, which use five events from football and basketball history. A Practice mode, where you match events to their dates, can be played as often as you like.
Unlike Chronle, where each move counts, Chrono lets you reorder freely and only counts the checks, and the timer gives quick solvers something to chase. It suits history buffs who like a short daily test, and the NFL and NBA versions give sports fans a timeline game of their own.
How to play Chrono
- Open Chrono and read the six events for the day.
- Drag them into order from earliest at the top to latest at the bottom.
- Press Check Answers; events in the right place are marked.
- Move the others and check again, up to three tries in all.
- See your medal and time, share the result, then try the U.S.A., NFL or NBA game.

Tips
- Place the events you are sure of first and use them as anchors for the rest.
- Think in centuries before years: sorting ancient, medieval and modern events first leaves only a few close calls.
- The clock counts, so if you want a fast time, decide on the easy pairs quickly and spend the time on the close ones.
- If your friends see different events, the FAQ suggests opening the game directly in your browser rather than inside a social media app.
Questions
When does Chrono get a new set?
The day count runs on New York time and turns over at 04:00 UTC, which is midnight Eastern in summer and 11 pm Eastern in winter.
How many tries do I get?
Three. Solving it on the first try earns gold, on the second silver and on the third bronze.
How are the events chosen?
At random each night from a database of several hundred events, so some days are harder than others.
Are there other daily Chrono games?
Yes: Chrono U.S.A. for American history, and Chrono NFL and Chrono NBA with five events from football and basketball history.
Why do I see different events from a friend?
The FAQ says some browsers, especially in-app browsers, keep an old copy of the event list. Opening chrono.quest directly in Chrome or Safari fixes it.
