Logic Equations #1023 for Oct 19, 2026, the ultra hard set: a 9 by 9 grid of letters A to I against numbers 1 to 9 beside five lines such as 2B = E + G and B ≥ 3 if and only if A > H

Logic Equations is a cryptarithm-style puzzle. You get letters, a pool of numbers, and a list of equations and inequalities. Each letter takes a different number, and exactly one assignment makes every line true.

About Logic Equations (Puzzleship)

Logic Equations is a cryptarithm-style puzzle from Puzzleship. Each set gives you a few letters, a pool of numbers and a short list of equations and inequalities, such as F = G + 8 or B > 5. Every letter takes a different number from the pool, and exactly one assignment makes every line true at once.

The arithmetic is never hard on its own; the difficulty is that the lines constrain each other. A value that fits one equation can be ruled out by an inequality further down. Unlike a classic cryptarithm with one sum, such as SEND plus MORE equals MONEY, these spread the letters over several lines that you cross-check.

You work on a grid with the letters down the side and the numbers across the top. Tapping a cell once crosses that number out for the letter, and tapping it again places it, so the board doubles as your notes. When every letter has its number and the lines hold, the game tells you it is solved and counts a daily streak.

Puzzleship publishes six sets of Logic Equations a day, graded from very easy to ultra hard, with the harder ones adding letters and lines rather than bigger numbers. The easiest is a 4 by 4 warm-up with two lines; the hardest runs to nine letters. Each day's sets are numbered and dated, the same for every player, and go up at 13:00 UTC, whatever the page's "00:00 your time" line says; earlier days stay playable in the archive. The hardest sets can also add conditional lines such as B ≥ 3 if and only if A > H.

The daily plays without an account. The site shows ads around the board, and a premium plan removes them. Puzzleship also sells printable booklets of these puzzles. It suits players who like Kakuro, KenKen or letter sums and want a short, clean deduction each day.

How to play Logic Equations (Puzzleship)

  1. Open Logic Equations and pick one of the day's six sets with the bulb buttons above the board.
  2. Read all the equations and inequalities beside the grid.
  3. Tap a cell once to cross a number out for a letter, and tap it again to give the letter that number.
  4. Give each letter a different number from the pool, using inequalities to order the letters and equations to fix values.
  5. Finish when every line holds at once; the game marks the set solved and counts your streak.

Tips

  • Write down the order the inequalities give you.
  • Place the largest and smallest numbers first.
  • Solve a letter that appears in many lines early.
  • Recheck every line after each assignment.
  • Use the cross marks freely: ruling numbers out on the grid is quicker than keeping them in your head.
  • In the ultra hard set, settle the plain equations before an if-and-only-if line: once one side of it is known, the other side follows.
