on letroso.com

Letroso is a daily word game from Daydash, the makers of Contexto. The secret word can have up to ten letters and your guesses can be any length: the colours and shapes of the letters tell you which ones are in the word, which appear together or in the right order, and whether the word starts or ends with them.
About Letroso
Letroso is a word-guessing game where the length of the answer is part of the mystery. The secret word has up to ten letters, and you may guess words of any length. Instead of telling you which letter sits in which square, Letroso tells you about order: which of your letters are in the word, which of them come in the same order, which sit side by side, and whether the word starts or ends the way your guess does.
That makes it play differently from Wordle. A long guess can confirm a whole run of letters at once, and a short one can pin down how the word begins. The puzzle is in fitting those fragments together, a little like assembling a word from pieces of other words.
Daydash, the studio behind Contexto and Conexo, released Letroso in 2024. It runs in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with its own word of the day in each. The home screen shows the daily game with the past week beside it and a Previous games button for the archive, and an Unlimited mode lets you keep playing after the daily word. There is no fixed number of attempts.
The game is free with ads; a Daydash Pass bought for a set number of days removes ads across the studio's games and does not renew on its own. It suits players who know Wordle well and want a daily that rewards thinking about spelling patterns rather than single letters.
How to play Letroso
- Open letroso.com, choose a language and press Play on the daily game.
- Type any word you like, of any length, and submit it.
- Read the clues: colours and shapes show which letters are in the secret word, which appear together, which are in the right order, and which are out of order.
- Watch the start and end of your guess: Letroso marks letters the secret word begins or ends with.
- Combine the fragments into new guesses until the whole word lights up, then share your result.
Tips
- Open with a long word full of common letters: it tells you more about order than a short one.
- Once you know the word starts with a pair of letters, try short words that begin the same way to test the next letter.
- Letters marked as together form a block; keep that block intact in every later guess.
- The word can be up to ten letters long, so do not assume five.
