Glyph codeword for 29 October 2026: a 15x15 numbered grid with the given letters N, G and J filled in, a key progress bar and the codebook of numbers 1 to 26

Glyph is a free daily codeword from Mind Loft, the crossword with no clues. Every letter in the grid is replaced by a number from 1 to 26, the same number always meaning the same letter, and you work out the whole key from three given letters and the shapes of the words.

About Glyph (Mind Loft)

Glyph is a codeword. The grid looks like a crossword, but instead of clues every square shows a number, and each number stands for one letter throughout the board. All 26 letters are used, each exactly once in the key. You start with three letters given, and the rest comes from reasoning.

Tap a square to select its number, then type or tap a letter. Every square with that number fills at once, and a codebook under the grid keeps track of the key. The grid itself is the constraint. A short word between two blocks, a number that keeps ending words, or a three-letter shape with the same number at both ends all narrow the field, and every letter you place spreads across the board. Since the key uses all 26 letters once, the letters you have already spent tell you as much as the ones still open.

Mind Loft says each board uses only common dictionary words and has exactly one consistent solution. You get three Checks that audit the board, and Give up ends the puzzle at zero. The daily leaderboard ranks players by fewest checks, with time breaking a tie. A new grid arrives every day at midnight Eastern, Sundays bring a larger 17x17 edition, and past boards wait in the archive.

How to play Glyph (Mind Loft)

  1. Open Glyph and press Start to see the numbered grid and the three given letters.
  2. Tap a square to select its number, then type or tap the letter you think it stands for.
  3. Every square with that number fills at once. Use the crossings to confirm or fix it.
  4. Keep going until all 26 numbers are assigned. Press Check only if you want the board audited, since you have three.

Tips

  • Look for common short words and endings: -ING, -ED, THE and AND are frequent anchors.
  • A letter already used elsewhere cannot be used again, so cross-check the alphabet bar.
  • Double letters often mean LL, SS, EE or OO.
