fanimoji

fanimoji turns animal trivia into a quick emoji test. Each day it names an animal, a tarsier one day, a common raven another, and lays out eight category cards: Class, Size, Habitat, Diet, Trait, Lifespan, Origin and Status. Each card offers a row of emoji, so size might run from a microbe to an apple to a bus, and you choose the one that fits best.

You have two minutes. Each category scores up to 10 points depending on how close your pick is to the ideal answer, with green for a perfect match and yellow, orange and red for near and far misses. Time left over is a speed bonus, for a maximum of 140 points. A Peek button shows a picture of the animal if you do not know what it looks like, at a cost of 20 seconds of bonus. The animal is the same for everyone each day, and scores go on a daily leaderboard.
