Fairytaildle

This is one of the character -dles on animedle.org, from the same family as Hunterdle, Chainsawdle, Frierendle and Bleachdle. It is a fan project that Fairy Tail's trademark holders do not endorse. One hidden character a day is shared by every player and numbered, and it changes at midnight in your time zone.

Each guess fills a row with the character's portrait and properties: race, gender, hair and eye colour, affiliation, occupation, team, magic, weapons and first arc. Green tiles match and red ones do not. Where a property has an order, an arrow says whether the answer sits above or below your guess. After ten guesses a quote hint unlocks, and after fifteen one about the character's first appearance. The quote button still carries a Devil Fruit label left over from the site's One Piece game.

The answer comes from a list of 238 characters in the page's code, picked by the day of the year. That gives a long run before any repeat, though the list starts again at New Year. Ads from Google sit around the game frame, and on a phone the frame is short, so the guess rows need scrolling inside it.

It suits fans who know the wider cast of Fairy Tail, from the early guild arcs to the Alvarez war, and not only its leads.
