Today's Equipdle daily at 6/8 health after two guesses: Dragon scimitar's level requirement, high alch, release date and attack bonuses marked against the hidden item with arrows

Equipdle is a free daily guessing game for Old School RuneScape players. You name a piece of equipment, and each guess compares its slot, requirements, value, release date and attack, defence and other bonuses with the hidden item's, until you find it or your eight health points run out.

About Equipdle

Equipdle is a fan-made game by an Old School RuneScape player, built around the game's gear. Its item data comes from the OSRS Wiki, and the site says it is not affiliated with Jagex. One daily item is the same for everyone, and a countdown on the page shows when the next one arrives at midnight UTC.

You start with eight health points, shown as a green bar in the style of the game, and each guess costs one. Type the name of any equippable item and the game lays its attributes beside the answer's: the gear slot, the requirements to wear it, its high alchemy value, its release date, and its attack, defence and other bonuses. Each value is coloured as an exact match, a close match or a miss, and numbers carry an arrow saying whether your item's stat is higher or lower than the target's. Above the guesses sits the hidden item's examine text with every letter starred out; from the second guess its shortest words appear, more with each miss, and by the seventh guess the whole line shows except the words of the item's own name.

When the round ends, the answer is shown with its examine text, and you can vote on whether you enjoyed the item, compare your guesses side by side, or copy a result to share. A New Game button starts random rounds without limit, separate from the daily one, and a History list keeps your past daily items. Stats count daily games played, a day streak and a win rate.

It suits OSRS players who know their bonuses tables and want a short daily test of them. There is a photosensitivity mode and settings to turn off screen flashes and animations, and no account is needed.

How to play Equipdle

  1. Open equipdle.com; the daily game is ready with eight health points.
  2. Type the name of an Old School RuneScape item you can equip and press Guess.
  3. Read the comparison: each attribute is marked as an exact match, a close match or a miss, and an arrow on a number shows if your item's value is higher or lower.
  4. Use the slot, requirements and bonuses to narrow the field, and guess again.
  5. Find the item before your health reaches zero, then share your result or start a random game.

Tips

  • Open with a common item from a busy slot, such as a body or weapon, so the slot clue cuts the field early.
  • The release date arrow quickly splits old gear from items added in recent updates.
  • Read the bonus tables together: a high magic attack with negative ranged bonuses points to mage gear.
  • Watch the examine line: after a few guesses its open words often name the material or the monster the item comes from.

Questions

Is Equipdle free?

Yes. It is free in the browser and needs no account.

When does Equipdle reset?

A new daily item comes at midnight UTC, and it is the same for every player.

How many guesses do I get?

Eight. Each guess takes one of your eight health points.

Yes. New Game starts a random round, which does not affect the daily game.

Is Equipdle made by Jagex?

No. It is a fan project that takes its data from the OSRS Wiki and says it is not affiliated with Jagex.
