DailyMetro Montpellier is a daily guessing game about the TaM tramway. Type any stop and the game colours its lines, the direction to the target, the length of its name and its area green, orange or red, and you have 8 guesses to find the day's stop. Map and Photo rounds follow on the same stop.
About DailyMetro Montpellier
DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott. The Montpellier edition covers the TaM tramway and opens in French, with an English version at its own address. It was marked new on the city list when we played day 21.
Each day has one hidden stop and a day number, the same for everyone in the city. You start with any stop you like and have 8 guesses. Each guess fills a row with four clues: the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for more or fewer, and its zone. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss. From the fourth guess the game shows you the line.
After Classic, the same day offers a Map round, where you place the stop on the network plan, and a Photo round, where you recognise it from a picture of its entrance. Normal difficulty gives hints, while Connoisseur swaps letters and zone for the year and traffic clues and gives none. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter keeps your run, and no account is needed.
It suits locals and tram riders who know their network by heart, and visitors who want to learn it one stop at a time.
How to play DailyMetro Montpellier
- Open DailyMetro Montpellier (French or English) and pick Normal or Connoisseur difficulty.
- Type the name of any tram stop to make your first guess.
- Read the clues: lines, direction to the target, number of letters and zone, each coloured green, orange or red.
- Use the arrow and shared lines to pick a stop closer to the target; from guess 4 the game shows the line.
- Find the day's stop within 8 guesses, then play the Map and Photo rounds on the same stop and share your result.

Tips
- Start with a big interchange stop such as Comédie: it sits on several lines at once.
- Follow the direction arrow, then use the letter count to choose between nearby stops.
- Use the network explorer to learn the lines before trying Connoisseur difficulty.
