DailyMetro Marseille Classic round, Day #36: guesses Castellane and Joliette with lines, a north-east arrow, letters and area clues

DailyMetro Marseille is a free daily guessing game about the RTM metro and tramway in Marseille, in French with an English version. Type any station and each clue column, lines, direction, name length and area, turns green, orange or red until you find the day's station in 8 guesses. Map and Photo rounds follow the Classic one.

About DailyMetro Marseille

DailyMetro is a set of free browser games, one per city, made by Eliott, an engineer who builds them in his spare time. The Marseille edition covers the RTM network: metro lines M1 and M2 and the tram lines. It opens in French at dailymetro.live/marseille and has a full English version at /marseille/en.

Each day has one hidden station and a day number, the same for every player in Marseille, and a new one is drawn at midnight local time. You start with any station you like and have 8 guesses. For each guess the board shows the lines it is on, an arrow pointing from your guess toward the target, the number of letters in its name with an arrow for more or fewer, and its area. Each clue turns green for a match, orange for a partial match or red for a miss. At guess 4 the Normal level shows you the line.

The day has three rounds: Classic, then Map, where you place the station on the network plan, and Photo, where you recognise it from a picture of its entrance. A Connoisseur level swaps the letters and area clues for the year the station opened and its traffic, and gives no hints. Past days can be replayed, a streak counter tracks your run, and no account is needed.

It suits Marseille locals and transit fans who know the network by heart, and visitors who want to learn it one station at a time.

How to play DailyMetro Marseille

  1. Open DailyMetro Marseille (French, or /marseille/en for English) and press Play.
  2. Choose a help level: Normal with line, direction, letters and area clues, or Connoisseur with opening year and traffic clues.
  3. Type the name of any station and press Enter to make your first guess.
  4. Read the row of clues: lines, direction to the target, number of letters and area, each green, orange or red.
  5. Follow the arrow and shared lines to a station closer to the target, within 8 guesses.
  6. Once you find it, move on to the Map and Photo rounds, then share your result.
