Daily Jigsaw Puzzles publishes a new Puzzle of the Day every day, usually a well-known painting with a short note about it, alongside a large free gallery of jigsaws. You pick how many pieces to cut it into and whether pieces rotate, then solve it in the browser.

About Daily Jigsaw Puzzles (dailyjigsawpuzzles.net)

DailyJigsawPuzzles.net is a free jigsaw site built around a Puzzle of the Day. Each day a new picture is added with its date, and in autumn 2026 most were paintings, from Waldmüller's view of the Austrian countryside to still lifes and village scenes, each with a paragraph about the work and what makes it fun to piece together. Earlier days stay in the archive.

Before you start you choose the number of pieces, from a quick puzzle to a long one, and whether pieces are randomly rotated like a real jigsaw or stay upright. The puzzle plays in the browser on computers, tablets and phones, with a fullscreen mode. Beside the daily puzzle there is a large gallery of themed jigsaws, from animals and landscapes to patterns and holiday pictures, and a jigsaw maker for your own images.

It is free with ads and needs no download or account. It suits jigsaw fans who like a relaxed daily ritual and an art lesson on the side.

How to play Daily Jigsaw Puzzles (dailyjigsawpuzzles.net)

  1. Open dailyjigsawpuzzles.net and choose the Puzzle of the Day.
  2. Pick how many pieces you want and whether pieces should rotate.
  3. Drag pieces onto the board and join them where they fit.
  4. Start with the edges and the areas of strong colour.
  5. Finish the picture, then read about the painting or go back to earlier days.

Tips

  • Sort edge pieces first; they give you the frame.
  • Group pieces by colour and texture, such as sky, water or foliage.
  • Turn rotation off for a quicker, gentler puzzle.
