on conceptogame.com

Concepto is a daily word game in the family of Contexto and Semantle. Each guess gets a closeness percentage, a temperature from Frozen to Boiling and a bridge word that links it toward the secret word, so you can steer instead of searching blind. It is free in the browser, with apps for iPhone and Android.
About Concepto
Concepto hides one word each day. You start from one of three suggested words or type your own, and each guess appears as a card with its closeness percentage, a bar coloured by temperature (Frozen, Cold, Warm, Hot, Boiling) and a bridge word between your guess and the answer. On one day's puzzle, MUSIC came in Frozen at 12 percent with the bridge CONDUCTOR, while SCIENCE was Warm at 38 percent with the bridge SCIENTIST, which says where to look next.
The bridge words are what set it apart. Contexto and Semantle give a bare rank or score, and a search can run to hundreds of guesses; here each guess also hints at a direction. A tally under the cards keeps your attempts, your best guess and its link. A hint hub can reveal the word's category, its first and last letter and its length: the website gives two of these free each day, and the apps unlock all four.
The daily unlocks at midnight in your own time zone, keeps a streak, and ends with a result to share. An Unlimited tab gives practice words between dailies. The game is made by sirimiri labs. The website is free with no ads and no account; the iOS and Android apps play offline and sell a Pro upgrade with themes, statistics and the archive of past dailies, and the Android app is listed as containing ads.
It suits players who like Contexto or Semantle but want more of a pointer from each guess.
How to play Concepto
- Open the Daily tab and press one of the three suggested words, or type your own guess.
- Read the card: the closeness percentage, the temperature and the bridge word between your guess and the answer.
- Use the bridge word to choose your next guess in that direction.
- Keep guessing as the cards warm from Frozen toward Boiling; use a hint from the hint hub if you stall.
- Find the secret word at 100 percent to solve the day, then share your result.

Tips
- Treat the bridge word as a clue to the topic rather than a guess to copy.
- Try a few unrelated starting words to find the warmest area before narrowing in.
- Once you are Hot, guess specific things rather than broad categories.
- Save the free hints, such as the first letter, for when you are close but stuck.
