Word Yoga store picture: Daily Puzzle #500 result screen, 'Better than 15% out of 65,700 players', a coloured guess grid and the countdown to the next daily puzzle

Word Yoga is a phone word game for iPhone and Android built on Wordle's rules. Its Daily Puzzle gives everyone the same hidden word and six tries, then tells you what share of that day's players you beat, and a Daily Quordle adds four words at once. Beside them are thousands of practice levels with words of 4 to 11 letters and custom words to send to friends.

About Word Yoga

Word Yoga, by Alex Belousov, first came out on the App Store in February 2022 and is also on Google Play, where it has more than a million downloads. Its centre is the numbered Daily Puzzle: one word for every player, found in six tries. Each guess colours its letters green when they are in the right spot, yellow when they are in the word but elsewhere, and grey when they are not in it.

When you finish, the result screen shows your grid, where you rank among everyone who played that day (the store picture shows 'Better than 15% out of 65,700 players' on Daily Puzzle #500) and a countdown to the next daily puzzle, with a button to share your result. A Daily Quordle, added in a 2024 update, sets four words at once as a second shared puzzle.

Outside the dailies, the app has thousands of Arcade and Journey levels where words get harder, word lengths from 4 to 11 letters, a Quordle practice mode and custom words you can send to a friend as a link. It keeps statistics and streaks, works offline and is offered in English, Russian and Ukrainian. It is free and shows ads; paid options remove them, and coins or a watched ad let you replay a missed word.

It suits Wordle players who want the daily word, a daily Quordle and a long practice mode in one phone app.

How to play Word Yoga

  2. Type a word and submit it.
  3. Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in the word.

  • Use Journey levels to practise longer words between dailies.
  • Watch for repeated letters once only a few slots are left.

Questions

Is the Daily Puzzle the same for everyone?

Yes. The store describes it as the word that is common to everyone, and the result screen ranks you against all players that day.

How many guesses do I get?

Six for the daily word.

Does Word Yoga have ads?

Yes. Google Play lists it as containing ads, and both stores sell premium and remove-ads options.

Is there a web version?

word-yoga.com is the game's website and links to the App Store and Google Play; the game itself is played in the app.
