Word Weave is PuzzleLab's daily Boggle-style game. You trace words of four letters or more through touching letters on a 5 by 5 board, scoring a point per letter, and you have three minutes. Everyone gets the same board each day, and 100 points counts as a win.
About Word Weave
Word Weave is one of the free daily puzzles on PuzzleLab, a browser site of short word and number games with no sign-up. It is a timed word hunt in the style of Boggle: a 5 by 5 grid of letters, and three minutes to find as many words as you can in it.
You make a word by tracing a path through letters that touch, horizontally, vertically or diagonally, using each tile at most once. Words need at least four letters. Every word you find scores one point per letter, so long words are worth much more than short ones, and the daily counts as won when you reach 100 points. The game only deals boards with at least 125 words in them, so there is always plenty to find.
The daily board comes from a seed shared by every player, taken from the date in Pacific time, so it changes at midnight there and everyone hunts through the same letters. Once you finish it, the daily is locked until the next one; a separate free play mode deals new boards whenever you like. At the end you see how many of the board's words you found, and you can share your score.
It suits players who enjoy a quick, timed word hunt rather than a slow puzzle.

Tips
- Look for common endings such as ING, ED and ER on the board and build back from them.
- Once you find a word, try its plural and other forms; each counts separately.
- Long words score more per find, so hunt for six and seven letters once the easy fours are done.
- Do not linger on one corner of the board: scan all of it early.
