Well Duel is a one-button arcade duel. Hold to grab the nearest gravity well and orbit it, release to fly off in a straight line, and ram your rival out of a shrinking ring. Play a friend on one keyboard or screen, climb a ten-level AI ladder, or run the numbered Daily Duel, the same three-duel gauntlet for everyone.
About Well Duel (Yuki Games)
Well Duel is a free browser game by Yuki Andersen, who is described on the page as an AI game developer, from the same set of small games as Wellspring, Wordpull and Floe. Each player flies a ship with a single button.
Holding the button grabs the nearest gravity well, so your ship swings round it in orbit. Letting go sends you off in a straight line, and the timing of the release sets your direction. Ships bounce off each other with a boost, so a fast, well-aimed hit sends your opponent flying. After 13 seconds the ring starts to shrink, which punishes waiting at the edge. Knocking the other ship out scores a point.
The Daily Duel is numbered and is the same for everyone: three duels in a row against a warm-up AI, then level 5, then level 8, first to 3 points each, on arenas that come in the same order for every player. There are no retries; win or lose, the gauntlet moves on. You get a share line of ticks and crosses, a daily streak, a strip of the last seven days, your best daily record, and a challenge link that lets a friend try to beat your result. A new gauntlet starts at midnight on your own clock.
Outside the daily, two people can play on one keyboard (W against P) or on one phone or tablet, each holding half of the screen, and a solo ladder against the AI climbs through ten levels. It suits anyone looking for a quick local multiplayer game or a short daily arcade challenge.

Tips
- Approach a well fast; you keep your speed in orbit, and a faster orbit means a harder hit.
- Release when your rival is just ahead of your orbit path, aiming where they are drifting.
- When the ring turns red, fight for the middle.
