on dentotino.com

Weakdle is a daily Pokémon type puzzle by Den Totino. The answer is a type, single or dual, rather than a particular Pokémon: you guess by picking any Pokémon, and a circle and a row of coloured tiles show how close its typing and type weaknesses are to the hidden one. You have six tries, with an archive of past days and global stats.
About Weakdle
Weakdle is a small web game by Den Totino, who also publishes games on itch.io and runs the site in English and Japanese. It calls itself a Pokémon type weakness Wordle: each day there is one hidden typing, the same for everyone, and your job is to name it in six tries.
You never type the type itself. Instead you search for a Pokémon and pick it, and the board answers in two ways. A circle on the left says whether that Pokémon's typing is right, close or wrong. A row of tiles on the right lists how much damage different attacking types would do to it, shown as multipliers such as 2x, 1x and 1/2x, and colours each tile by how well it matches the hidden typing's weakness chart. Read those columns together and you can tell which types the answer is weak to, resists or ignores. Remember that the answer can be a single type as well as a pair.
The puzzle changes at midnight on your own clock. After you finish, Weakdle shows the exact Pokémon behind the day's answer, your streak and win rate, and global stats such as the most used guesses and average score. Past puzzles are kept in an archive, and fans can build custom puzzles to share. It suits players who know the type chart well and want a daily test of it, not just of Pokédex trivia.
How to play Weakdle
- Open Weakdle and type at least three letters of a Pokémon's name to search.
- Pick a Pokémon to guess its typing.
- Read the circle on the left to see if the typing is right, close or wrong.
- Read the coloured multiplier tiles on the right to compare that Pokémon's weaknesses and resistances with the hidden typing.
- Use what you learn to find the right type, single or dual, within six tries.
Tips
- Start with a Pokémon whose typing has many weaknesses and resistances, so the tiles tell you more.
- Immunities stand out in the chart, so a 0x match narrows the answer quickly.
- Do not forget single types: a pure type can be the answer.
- Watch the tutorial video on the how to play screen if the tile colours are unclear.
Questions
Do I have to guess a specific Pokémon?
No. The answer is a type or type pair. Any Pokémon with that typing counts, and the game shows the exact Pokémon it had in mind once you finish.
How many tries do I get?
Six.
When is there a new puzzle?
Every midnight in your own local time, not in a fixed time zone.
Can I play old puzzles?
Yes. The archive lets you play earlier days, though archive games do not count toward your stats.
Is it in other languages?
The site can be switched between English and Japanese.
