Starting 5 Trivia turns a basketball quiz into a short daily game. Each challenge covers five players and asks 12 questions about them, spread across four quarters like a game. A new set goes up every day, and everyone who plays that day gets the same questions.

Each question runs on a 10-second shot clock. A correct answer earns one to three points depending on how fast you give it, answering several in a row adds a streak bonus, and points in the fourth quarter are doubled, so a strong finish can turn a round around. Despite the name, it is a trivia game, not a game of guessing a lineup.

It takes about a minute. You can play in the browser or on iPhone without an account; signing up for free saves your stats and streaks and puts you on the leaderboards. The site says it is free with no subscriptions and no ads interrupting play.
