Spydle is a free daily spy puzzle in the browser. Each day's mission is an intercepted message hidden behind rows of blank words; you reveal it word by word by answering a crossword-style clue for each, with Wordle-style letter feedback and a set number of attempts per word.
About Spydle
Spydle is a daily word puzzle from BULB Studios with a spy theme. Each day there is one mission, the same for every player: an intercepted message shown as rows of blank tiles, one group for each word.
You work through the message one interception at a time, one for each word, usually five. Each gives a clue, such as "A secure room for storing valuables", the number of letters and how many attempts you have, from one for a short word like THE up to four or five for a long one. Letters are marked in colour as in Wordle, so a wrong guess still tells you which letters sit in the right place. Solved words drop into the message, and you can tap any word to switch to it.
When every word is in, the whole message reads out, a short line such as a vault that opens at midnight or a parrot that knows the password, with a note on where it was overheard. The game keeps your games played, win rate and streak, lets you share a spoiler-free result, and offers one bonus mission after the daily, behind a five-second card for the maker's other games. The missions come from a set of 25 that repeats, so a regular player meets the same message again after about four weeks.
It suits players who like crossword clues and Wordle's feedback in one short daily, and the decoded sentence at the end gives each day a small payoff.
How to play Spydle
- Open Spydle; the day's mission starts at the first word of the message.
- Read the clue for the highlighted word and note its length and how many attempts it allows.
- Type a guess and press Enter; green letters are right and in place, and the colours narrow the next guess.
- Solve the word within its attempts, then move to the next interception, or tap any word in the message to switch to it.
- Finish every word to read the decoded message, then share your result or play the bonus mission.
