Rate itCover every tile of a 5x5 letter board with words, using as few words as you can.
on randomlittlepuzzles.com

SpellSweep is a free daily word puzzle from RMLP. You trace words through adjacent letters on a 5x5 board, and every tile a word uses counts as covered. The goal is to cover all 25 tiles in as few words as you can, measured against the day's perfect score and par.
About SpellSweep
SpellSweep is a browser word game from RMLP (Random Mind-bending Little Puzzles), a small site of original daily puzzles. Each day a numbered board of 25 letter tiles appears, the same for everyone that date. Day #1 came out on 12 September 2026.
You build a word by selecting tiles that touch each other, diagonals included, then submit it. Each valid word covers the tiles it used. The centre tile is always a wildcard that stands in for any letter. The score counts how many words you used, so fewer is better: the page shows the perfect score, the fewest words that can cover the board, and a more forgiving par.
When all 25 tiles are covered, you can share your result. A reveal button shows an answer if you give up, which ends your run. A tutorial walks through an example board the first time, and the How to play button brings it back. Your progress on the day's board is kept in the browser, and an optional account can keep it across devices.
It is a word search turned inside out: instead of finding listed words, you choose long words that sweep up awkward letters. It suits players who like Boggle-style boards with a tidy daily target.
The page has no ads and needs no account to play. A Keep puzzles coming link goes to the maker's Ko-fi page. The same site also runs Word Web, Beeline, Crosspack and Flapjack.

Tips
- Look for long words that pass through awkward letters in corners first.
- Count the uncovered tiles before each word and aim to sweep up as many as possible at once.
- Save the centre wildcard for a long word that runs through it, since it touches eight tiles.
Questions
Is there a new board every day?
Yes. A numbered board is generated from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the same letters.
What time does SpellSweep reset?
At midnight on your own device, since the board is chosen from your local date.
How is it scored?
By how many words you need to cover all 25 tiles. Fewer is better. The page shows the perfect score and a par a few words above it.
Is it free?
Yes. It plays free in the browser with no ads and no account.
Do I need an account?
No. The board plays without signing in and keeps your progress in the browser. An optional account can keep a puzzle's progress and result.
