Snatch & Dash Daily #83 (22 October 2026), The Eel Pit: the fish thief on a coral-reef seabed among green eels, with pearls to collect, 2 of 18 taken, on a phone

Snatch & Dash is an arcade game in which you drag a thief across the board to collect every jewel without touching the patrolling guards. Its Daily Heist is one numbered level a day, built from the date so it is the same for everyone, rated in stars. It plays free in the browser on itch.io with no account, and there are phone apps.

About Snatch & Dash

Snatch & Dash is an arcade game by snatch&dash, the studio name of Nathan Droguett, released in 2026 in the browser on itch.io and as apps for iPhone and Android. You drag to glide your thief around the board, sweep up every jewel and keep clear of the guards on patrol. One touch and you are caught. Brushing past a guard without touching it is a Close Call: time slows down, and chaining Close Calls raises your score multiplier, so the safe route and the high-scoring route are rarely the same.

The Daily Heist is the shared part. Each day the start screen shows a numbered daily (Daily #83 on 22 October 2026) that opens one level for everyone. The game picks it from 36 level templates that rotate through its worlds, and builds the layout from a seed made of the date, so the same template plays differently when it comes round again. On 22 October it was The Eel Pit, an undersea board of pearls ringed by snapping eels. You can retry as often as you like, and the result screen rates the run in up to three stars with a Share button. Every run also has a seed you can send to a friend so they play exactly your layout.

The free browser version has 20 levels across two worlds, a neon vault and a coral reef, plus an endless mode in which twists such as fleeing loot, warping jewels and rival thieves rotate in as you go deeper. A one-off premium upgrade in the apps opens the rest of the 80 levels and 8 worlds; the daily is open to everyone either way. The game says it needs no account, ever.

It suits players who like short reflex games on a phone: a daily takes a minute or two, and the Close Call system gives a reason to replay a cleared board for a better score.

How to play Snatch & Dash

  1. Open the game and press Daily Heist on the start screen for the day's numbered level.
  2. Drag to steer your thief across the board; it follows your finger or mouse.
  3. Collect every jewel on the level to finish it.
  4. Keep away from the guards: one touch ends the run, and Retry starts it again.
  5. Skim close past a guard for a slow-motion Close Call and chain them to raise your multiplier and your stars.

Tips

  • Learn the guards' patrol routes before cutting close to them.
  • On a computer, move the mouse to a safe spot as the level starts: the thief heads straight for the pointer.
  • Close Calls are where the points are, but a careful clear still finishes the daily.
  • Use the seed of a good run to challenge a friend on the same layout.
