Smashdle Classic mode on 25 October 2026: a Dr. Mario guess compared with the hidden fighter in red and orange tiles, with weight and year arrows

Smashdle is a daily guessing game about the Super Smash Bros. roster from the maker of LoLdle. Each of its five modes has one fighter to find each day, from attribute clues in Classic to the hat Kirby wears after swallowing someone, and everyone in the same time zone gets the same answers.

About Smashdle

Smashdle is a browser game in which you guess fighters from the Super Smash Bros. series every day. It comes from the team behind LoLdle, Pokédle, Dotadle, OnePiecedle and Narutodle, and uses the same layout and modes system. It is a fan project, and the site states that Nintendo does not endorse or sponsor it.

Classic mode is where most players start. You type any fighter's name and the game compares it with the hidden one across gender, species, universe (the series the character comes from), weight, the first Smash game where they were playable, the platform they first appeared on, and the year they first appeared in their own series. Green means a match, orange a partial match such as one of two species, and red no match, with arrows on weight and year. After six guesses you can open the name of the fighter's Final Smash as a clue, and after nine a silhouette.

Each other mode has its own fighter. Kirby shows Kirby wearing the hat he gets after swallowing a fighter, and you name whose power he copied. Final Smash shows a fighter's Final Smash animation. Silhouette shows a close crop of a shadow that widens as you guess. Emoji gives a row of emojis that grows by one with every guess.

There is a daily streak, a statistics page, a Europe or America time zone setting that decides when the new fighters arrive, and a choice of more than twenty interface languages. The page shows yesterday's answer under each mode. Smashdle suits players who know the roster and the history behind it, from first appearances to which console a character came from.

How to play Smashdle

  1. Open Smashdle and choose the Europe or America time zone in the settings.
  2. Pick Classic, type any fighter's name and submit it.
  3. Read the tiles: green is an exact match, orange is partial, red is no match, and arrows show whether the answer's weight or origin year is higher or lower.
  4. Keep guessing, opening the Final Smash name clue after six tries or the silhouette after nine if you need them, until you find the fighter.
  5. Play Kirby, Final Smash, Silhouette and Emoji, each with its own fighter for the day.

Tips

  • Settle the universe column first: many series have only one or two fighters, so a green there nearly ends the round.
  • Use platform of origin and origin year together to tell apart fighters from the same series.
  • In Kirby mode, look closely at the hat: it copies the fighter's hair, helmet or headgear, so think of each fighter's head.
  • In Emoji mode, guess early: each guess reveals one more emoji, so a wrong guess still buys a new hint.

Questions

What time does Smashdle reset?

At midnight UTC+2 on the Europe time zone and at midnight UTC-6 on the America time zone. You choose the zone in the settings.

Is Smashdle made by Nintendo?

No. It is a fan game, and the site states that Nintendo does not endorse or sponsor it.

What is Kirby mode?

Kirby has swallowed a fighter and copied their move. You guess which fighter it was, and after a few tries a clue shows the copied move in use.

Is there an unlimited mode?

No. The menu offers the five daily modes only. An Infinite Classic mode was unlocked for one day on 1 April 2025, and its address now leads to a not found page for everyone else.
