Balatrodle

Balatrodle is a fan-made guessing game for players of the poker roguelike Balatro. Its day count starts on 8 June 2024. It works like the classic dle format: there is one hidden joker a day, and every guess tells you how close you are.

Each guess shows five clues next to the joker's card. Cost is a dollar value with an arrow when the answer is cheaper or more expensive, and counts as close within $2. Rarity is common, uncommon, rare or legendary. Ability sorts the joker by what it does: adds Mult, adds Chips, adds both, multiplies Mult, creates cards, retriggers or copies, earns money, changes hands and discards, or something else. Scaling says whether the value on the joker grows or shrinks over a run, and RNG says whether the joker has a listed probability. When a guess matches today's joker on every clue but is the wrong joker, part of the answer's name is revealed, and each further full match reveals more of it.

The joker changes at midnight on your own clock. Wins, your streak and your average number of guesses are kept in the browser, and the result screen counts down to the next puzzle. There is no guess limit, no sign-up and no ads. It suits Balatro players who know their jokers' prices and effects; with about 150 jokers in the pool, regulars will meet the same joker again over the months.
