About Seeking Stardust
Seeking Stardust is a small browser game on itch.io, made in Godot by lemon cosmos and tagged as a daily puzzle. Each run is a journey through space toward the edge of the universe, sector by sector.
You collect stardust while managing fuel. Asteroids block the way, and you choose whether to weave around them or break through them strategically; when the fuel is gone the run ends. Because it is about squeezing the most stardust out of limited fuel, players describe it as an optimisation game, and they share their best scores for the day in the comments.
Since an update in October 2026, each day's board also comes with a space weather forecast. It changes which pickups and hazards show up that day, so the same plan does not work every morning. On 26 October 2026 the forecast was Fueled Up, and each fuel can gave two tanks. Stars raise the worth of every stardust after them, and resting at a station refuels you, repairs the hull and opens a new sector.
It plays in the browser with the mouse, takes a few minutes per run, and is free.
It suits players who like short optimisation puzzles and minimalist space visuals.
How to play Seeking Stardust
- Press Run daily game, then click to start.
- Read the day's weather forecast card and close it.
- Click a cell in a straight line from the ship to fly there. Each flight uses one tank of fuel, however far it goes.
- Collect stardust and stars, and decide when to crash through an asteroid at the cost of a hull shield.
- Rest at a station to refuel and repair, and fly on through new sectors until the fuel is gone.
