Prompetitor is a prompt-writing game built on real artworks. You study a picture, write a description against the clock, and an image model tries to recreate it from your words. The closer the result is to the original, the higher you score.
About Prompetitor
Prompetitor is a browser game about looking closely and describing well. Each challenge starts from a real work, such as a public-domain painting, licensed photography or a piece from its artist programme, not a generated image.
You get 90 seconds to write a natural-language prompt. An image generation service then produces a picture from your text, and automated visual similarity scoring compares it with the original, with a small bonus for finishing quickly.
The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same artwork each day and ranks scores on a global leaderboard for that artwork. A Classic mode lets two to four players compete in quick online matches or private rooms, and more modes are planned.
It suits people interested in art and language who enjoy a timed challenge; it is in a beta testing period.
How to play Prompetitor
- Open the Daily Challenge, enter a guest name or sign in, and press Start.
- Study the day's artwork while the 90 second clock runs.
- Write a prompt describing what you see, up to 2,000 characters, and submit it.
- An image model draws a picture from your words. Compare it with the original and check your score.
- See where you placed on the day's leaderboard. Other players' prompts are shown the next day.

Tips
- Describe composition and colour as well as the subject.
- Mention the medium or style, such as oil painting or photograph.
- Finishing earlier earns a small time bonus, so do not overwrite.

Is there a daily challenge?
Yes. One artwork per day for everyone, ranked on a global leaderboard.
Are the artworks generated?
No. Challenges start from real works: public-domain art, licensed photography and works from verified artists.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Classic mode is for 2 to 4 players, in quick matches or private rooms.
Who picks the daily artwork?
The first player of each UTC day chooses it from the game's library. If they run out of time, the server picks a work at random.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play the Daily Challenge under a guest name. Signing in earns a few cents of credit for the Create studio.
