Pokelingo's daily riddle shows you a real Pokédex entry for one of the 1,025 Pokémon, in any of nine languages, and gives you five tries to name the species. After each guess it shows whether your pick shares the answer's type and whether the answer comes from a later or earlier generation and is taller or shorter.
About Pokelingo: Who's That Pokémon?
Pokelingo is a Pokédex built for language learners, made by Misu as a side project, with every species name and Pokédex entry in Japanese, English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean and both forms of Chinese. Its daily riddle, which started in May 2026, turns that data into a Who's That Pokémon? quiz.
Each day the game picks one Pokémon and shows the flavour text from one of its Pokédex entries, straight from the main games, in your target language. You type the Pokémon you think it is, in that language or in English, and pick it from the suggestions. Each guess goes into a list that marks its type as a match or not, and shows arrows for generation and height that point toward the answer. You have five tries before the answer is revealed.
The lore text is the main clue, which sets it apart from Squirdle and other Pokémon guessers that start from stats. Set the target language to your own and it is a plain Pokémon quiz; set it to the language you are studying and it is reading practice. The daily needs no account and the page carries no ads; signing in (free) opens an archive of past riddles and keeps your streak.
