PocketGlobe: Geography Game

Rate it

Four daily country games in one: find the mystery country, place countries on the map, name the neighbours and link two countries by land.

on thepocketglobe.app

Today's PocketGlobe Mystery board on 21 October 2026: a 3D globe with France and Kenya guessed, cards showing 8,639 km and 9,301 km from the hidden country

PocketGlobe puts four short country games on one 3D globe, each with a new dated round every day. Find the mystery country from distances, place countries on the map, name every neighbour of the day's country and link two countries through shared borders, then see where you place on the daily leaderboard. It plays free in a browser or in the iPhone and Android apps.

About PocketGlobe: Geography Game

PocketGlobe is a geography game built around a spinning 3D map of the world. Its home screen lists four daily modes, each card showing today's date: Mystery, Pin Drop, Borders and Paths. Each mode has its own leaderboard, and the game keeps streaks and stats as you return.

Mystery is the main round. You type a country, it is marked on the globe with its flag, and a card tells you how far it lies from the hidden country, with the closest guess so far kept on screen. Pin Drop asks you to tap named countries on the globe, and near misses still score. Borders gives you one country and asks for every country that touches it, with your misses listed. Paths sets a start and an end, such as Estonia to the Palestinian Territories, and you link them one land border at a time.

The App Store lists the game under Yoav Levanoni, with its first release in November 2025 and regular updates since. It can be played in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Danish. Beyond the dailies there are Arena and Unlimited modes; a one-time Unlock Everything purchase removes the limits and the ads that the phone apps show in Unlimited.

It suits players who already do Globle, Travle or a neighbours game and would like several country puzzles in one place, on a cleaner globe than most.

How to play PocketGlobe: Geography Game

  1. Open PocketGlobe in a browser or the app and pick one of the four cards marked with today's date.
  2. In Mystery, type a country into the search box; the globe marks it and tells you how far it is from the hidden country.
  3. Keep guessing, using the closest guess so far to narrow in, until you land on the mystery country.
  4. In Pin Drop, tap each country you are asked for on the globe; near misses still score.
  5. In Borders, name every country that shares a land border with the day's country; in Paths, link the start and end countries one neighbour at a time.
  6. Check the leaderboard to see where your result places for the day.

Tips

  • In Mystery, spread your first guesses across continents, then use the closest guess so far to see which way to head.
  • For Paths, large countries with many neighbours, such as Russia, China or Brazil, make good stepping stones.
  • In Pin Drop a near miss still scores, so tap your best estimate for a small country rather than skipping it.
