Passport's Span leg on October 16, 2026: a route from Czechia to Kuwait with five empty hops, under tabs for the four legs Span, Flank, Ping and Sizes

Passport is a free daily geography run from Mind Loft. Everyone plays the same four legs: the day's Span, Flank and Ping, then nine calls on whether a country from those games is bigger or smaller by area or population. The total out of 50 decides which real passport you earn.

About Passport (Mind Loft)

Passport is a geography run on Mind Loft, a free site of daily browser games. Instead of a puzzle of its own, it strings together three of Mind Loft's daily geography games and adds a closing round, all styled as a flight: a departures board with a scrambled destination, a boarding pass to start and a world map with a dotted route.

The run has four legs. In Span you get from one country to another by land borders, typing one neighbour at a time; the shortest road is the perfect score, and each extra country costs a point. In Flank you name every country that borders the day's country. In Ping you hunt a secret city from the distance each guess returns. Each of these is worth 10 points. The last leg, Sizes, puts nine countries from the first three games in front of you to call bigger or smaller by area or population, for 20 points.

Your total out of 50 decides which passport you take home, chosen from real passports ranked by how many destinations they open without a visa in the Henley Passport Index 2026, from Sierra Leone at the low end to Japan at the top. The leaderboard ranks players by total and then by time, and a timer runs through the legs.

Span, Flank and Ping are also dailies of their own with their own leaderboards, and a game you have already played that day counts toward the run. A new run starts at midnight US Eastern Time. It suits players who already play Mind Loft's geography games, or Travle and Worldle, and want them in one sitting with one score.

How to play Passport (Mind Loft)

  1. Open mindloftdaily.com/passport and press Board now on the boarding pass.
  2. Span: type countries that share a land border, one hop at a time, until you reach the day's destination by the shortest road you can find.
  3. Flank: name every country that shares a land border with the day's country.
  4. Ping: guess cities and use the distance each guess returns to find the secret city.
  5. Sizes: call nine countries from the run bigger or smaller by area or population, then see your total out of 50 and the passport it earns.

Tips

  • In Span, head for the country that opens the most onward borders, not the one that looks closest on the map; the game's own rules give the same advice.
  • Only mainland land borders count in Span: overseas territories, bridges and tunnels do not.
  • If you have already played Span, Flank or Ping today, that result counts toward the run, so you can play them on their own first.
  • Sizes is worth 20 of the 50 points, so a few anchor figures for area and population, such as your own country's, pay off.

Questions

How is Passport scored?

Span, Flank and Ping are worth 10 points each, and the nine bigger-or-smaller calls are worth 20, for a total out of 50. The total decides which passport you travel home on, and the leaderboard ranks total, then time.

What games are in Passport?

The day's Span (a chain of land borders between two countries), Flank (name a country's neighbours) and Ping (find a secret city by distance), then a Sizes leg of nine bigger-or-smaller calls on area or population.

Is Passport free?

Yes. Passport runs in the browser on mindloftdaily.com at no cost, with no app and no account. Adding a name puts your result on the daily leaderboard.

When does a new Passport come out?

Every day at midnight US Eastern Time, the same run for every player, and the leaderboard resets with it.

Can I play the games in Passport on their own?

Yes. Span, Flank and Ping are each a daily of their own with their own leaderboard, and a game you have already played that day counts toward the run.
