Numlock #113 for October 22, 2026: a Thursday 6x6 number grid with row targets on the right and column targets below, plus Undo, Practice and Archive buttons

Numlock is a daily number logic puzzle on Zalize Daily Games, a kind of reverse sudoku. Strike out numbers so what is left in each row and column adds up to the target at its edge. Grids grow through the week, and each has one solution.

About Numlock (Zalize)

Numlock gives you a grid full of numbers with a target sum at the end of each row and column. You tap numbers to cross them out, and tap again to bring them back. The puzzle is solved when the numbers still standing in every row and column add up to their targets.

Each daily grid is checked to have exactly one solution that can be reached by logic, without guessing. Difficulty climbs through the week: 5x5 grids on Monday and Tuesday, 6x6 from Wednesday to Friday and 7x7 with negative numbers at the weekend. Undo is always there, and your time goes onto the share card.

A practice mode gives unlimited extra grids that do not touch your streak, and an Archive button replays any earlier daily grid by its number and date. The site says there is no paywall and no interstitial ads.

Zalize Daily Games, at daily.zalize.com, is a free set of small browser games from zalize.com, each with one puzzle a day that is the same for every player in the world. All of them switch at midnight UTC. There is no account: streaks and statistics stay in your browser and can be moved to another device with a sync code, and playing every game on the same day earns a Perfect Day badge. The site is offered in ten languages.

Tips

  • A number bigger than its row target (with no negatives around) must go.
  • If a row already sums to its target, every number in it stays.
  • Check rows and columns together: a cell decided in one line settles the other.
  • At weekends, remember that crossing out a negative number raises the total.
