on nonograms.games

Nonograms.games is a free nonogram site with a dated daily puzzle. Each day's 10x10 grid is solved by filling squares from the number clues on its rows and columns until a small picture appears, such as a pine tree or an acorn. Free play, themed collections, lessons and printable worksheets sit beside the daily.
About Nonograms.games
Nonograms.games is built around one dated puzzle a day, labelled Today's little mystery, with its size and a mood line. The puzzles are nonograms, also called picross or griddlers. Each row and column has number clues saying how many runs of filled squares it holds, and filling the grid correctly reveals a small picture. Once solved, the heading changes to the picture's name, such as Among the pines.
The daily grid is always 10x10. It comes from a small set of six pictures, picked by the date, so a regular player meets the same picture again a week later. The smaller 5x5 grids are found in Free play and the collections.
The controls are simple. You tap or drag to fill squares, switch to Mark to put an X on squares you know are empty, and have Undo, Hint and Reset buttons and a timer. There are no lives to lose and no hurry. The site's own tip is to start with the longest clue, since a clue as long as the line fills it completely. Your solved puzzles and daily visits are counted and saved on your device.
Beyond the daily, Free play lets you solve more at your own pace. Themed collections such as Into the woods and Small wonders offer free previews, and a 40-puzzle Woodland collection is sold for a one-off $4.99. There are step-by-step lessons, videos, a tool for drawing your own picture puzzle and printable worksheets with answer keys. It needs no account or download, and suits newcomers to nonograms who want a short, quiet grid each day.

- Use the crossings of rows and columns to deduce more squares, with Hint if you get stuck.
- Finish the grid to reveal the picture.

Tips
- Start with the longest clues: a clue as long as its line fills the whole line.
- For a clue longer than half the line, the middle squares are always filled.
- Mark empty squares with X as you go; they are as useful as filled ones.
- Work back and forth between rows and columns, since each new square helps the lines that cross it.
Questions
What is a nonogram?
A picture-logic puzzle: number clues on each row and column tell you how many runs of filled squares it has, and filling them correctly reveals a picture.
Is there a new puzzle every day?
A new dated 10x10 grid shows each day at midnight UTC. It is drawn from a set of six pictures, so each one returns every six days.
Can I lose?
No. There are no lives and no time limit, though a timer runs if you want it.
Do I need an account?
No. Progress is saved in your browser.
Does it have ads?
No. The game page loads no ad scripts and shows no ad slots. A paid Woodland collection is offered on its own page.
