NFL Wordle on Draft Challenger is a daily guess-the-player game for American football. The Wordle board gives eight tries, each guess compared with the hidden player on team, division, position, height, age and jersey number; the Classic board gives fifteen guesses at a player from the league's history, judged against one of their real seasons. Both boards are the same for everyone each day.
About NFL Wordle (Draft Challenger)
NFL Wordle is part of Draft Challenger, a sports site that runs daily player boards for several leagues beside its all-time draft game. Its own line is one player, follow the clues: a hidden player a day and a fixed number of guesses.
On the Wordle board you type a player's name, pick him from the list and press Guess, and the row compares him with the answer on team, division, position, height, age and jersey number. Each tile shows a match, a close miss or a miss, with arrows on the numbers pointing toward the answer, so every guess narrows the field. The answers come from familiar recent players, and eight names is the limit.
Classic is harder. Each day picks one position group, such as quarterbacks, rushers, receivers, the front seven or the secondary, and the answer can come from any season since 1920. The board opens with the era, one fact about the player (on 25 October 2026 his count of honours), the day's group and a free example row. Each guess is set against the answer's real signature season, with columns for position, season, team, the group's stats, games and first season, graded exact, close, similar or far. After four misses the team appears, and after seven another fact, with the option to reveal the answer.
Both boards change at midnight US Eastern time, keep separate streaks on your device and end with a result you can share. The same page has a daily draft challenge, building an all-time team from shared spins. It suits fans who follow NFL rosters and its record book closely.

Tips
- Position splits the field fastest: a quarterback, a lineman and a receiver differ on height and number too.
- An arrow on a number tells you which way to go with the next guess.
- In Classic, open with a well-known player from the era shown who fits the day's group, so the season line reads straight away.
