Mislettered is a daily quote puzzle from Try Hard Guides, a little like Hangman. The day's line is hidden with its source shown above it; each letter you guess fills in wherever it appears, six wrong letters force you to solve, and you get one attempt at the full answer. About Mislettered
Mislettered is a daily word puzzle from Try Hard Guides, a gaming and puzzle site. Each day there is one quote or phrase, the same for everyone and numbered by day, drawn from a film, TV show or other source, with its category shown as a clue.
The phrase starts hidden as a row of blank tiles, and you guess letters one at a time on an on-screen keyboard. A correct letter fills in everywhere it appears, and correct guesses are unlimited. Wrong letters count against you: after six incorrect guesses you must try to solve the phrase. You get a single attempt at the full answer, so it pays to be sure.
Solving with fewer guesses scores more, up to 50 points, which rewards reading the quote from as few letters as you can. A stats page keeps your streak and score spread, results can be shared, and no account is needed. The page shows no ads around the board.
It plays like Hangman crossed with Wheel of Fortune and suits anyone who enjoys recognising quotes and sayings from a handful of letters.
How to play Mislettered
- Read the category and source shown above the day's hidden quote, for example Movie and its title.
- Pick a letter on the on-screen keyboard and press Enter; correct letters fill in wherever they appear.
- Keep guessing, remembering that six wrong letters force you to solve.
- When you think you know it, press Solve Now and type the full quote in your one attempt.
- Solve with as few guesses as possible to score up to 50 points, then share your result or check your stats.

A new quote comes out at midnight US Eastern Time, and a countdown on the finished screen shows how long is left.
Does Mislettered have ads?
No ad slots show on the game page; the ad script of the Try Hard Guides site is turned off for the game.
How many wrong guesses do you get?
Six. Correct letters do not count against you, and after the sixth wrong letter you must try to solve the quote.
