Marveldle is a daily character guessing game built on Marvel. Each day there is one mystery character from the MCU and another from the comics, and every guess shows which traits match the answer.

About Marveldle

Marveldle uses the attribute-comparison format of the -dle games for the Marvel universe. You type any character, and the game sets their gender, type, species, power types, origin and other traits beside the day's answer, marking each one as correct, partly correct or wrong. From those colours you narrow the field until you land on the right hero or villain.

There are two daily puzzles. The MCU mode draws on the characters of the films and series and can show clues such as a quote, the shows they appear in and the actor who plays them. The comics mode works on the printed characters, with clues such as a short description and the title of the comic where they first appeared, plus the year of that first appearance as a higher or lower comparison. Clues unlock after a set number of attempts.

The site keeps a win streak for each mode and shows yesterday's answer. Signed-in players also get statistics and access to Fantastic Grid, a separate two-player mode where you take turns placing characters that fit a row and a column category, aiming for four in a row. Marveldle is a fan-made game and is not endorsed by Marvel.

How to play Marveldle

Pick the MCU or the comics mode from the menu.
Type the name of any Marvel character and submit the guess.
Read the result: each trait is marked correct, partly correct or wrong, and the year shows whether the answer is higher or lower.
Use the clues that unlock after a few attempts and keep guessing until you find the character.
Play the other mode, then come back after midnight UTC for new characters.

Tips

Open with a character whose type and species split the field, rather than a famous Avenger.
Partial matches on affiliations or power types are worth chasing: they mean the answer shares at least one.
In the comics mode, the first appearance year narrows things down quickly.
Turn on colourblind mode in the game if the colours are hard to tell apart.
