Mapfold hides one country a day on a world map. Before each question you choose its angle, from an easy fact that folds a little of the map to a hard one that folds most of it, then tap a country to guess. A miss folds away every country the facts rule out, and fewer guesses score better.
About Mapfold (FlightQ)
Mapfold is FlightQ's daily country hunt. Every day one country is hidden, the same for every player, and a counter shows how many are still standing: 232 at the start.
Each turn begins with a choice of angle. Three cards offer a kind of fact, such as Borders, Flag, Size, Nature or Travel, each marked easy, medium or hard and with the share of the map it will fold. Today's first easy card gave "It borders at least one country", while the medium Flag card gave "Its flag has no yellow anywhere". Harder angles fold more of the map but are harder to read.
You guess by tapping a country and confirming. A miss crosses that country off, greys out every country the facts so far rule out and moves you to the next question; a guess that contradicts a fact you were given ends the hunt. Your guess count is your score, and down to the last two candidates a wrong tap loses the day.
Unlike silhouette or hotter-colder country games, Mapfold deals only in facts, with the map keeping track of what each fact removes. The daily is free with no sign-up on the web and in the FlightQ apps; a Premium subscription adds the archive of past puzzles, unlimited practice and removes ads. It suits players who like reasoning about geography more than recognising shapes.
How to play Mapfold (FlightQ)
- Open Mapfold on flightq.app or in the FlightQ app.
- Pick an angle for the question: easy folds less of the map, hard folds more.
- Read the fact, tap the country you think it is and press Guess to confirm.
- A miss crosses it off and greys out the countries the facts rule out; pick the next angle.
- Never guess a country a fact has already ruled out: that ends the hunt.
- Tap the right country to win; among the last two, a wrong tap ends the day.

Tips
- Hard angles fold the most map: take one early when you trust your knowledge of that subject.
- Aim misses at the middle of the live zone so the next fold removes the most map.
- Use the Still on the map list to check which countries are left before committing.
- Flag and capital facts are easy to misjudge: think of a country you know well as a reference.
