on lapdle.com

Lapdle is a free browser game about the racing line. Each day brings one real circuit, the same for every player, and six laps to set a line through its corners and earn a medal against the perfect lap. Four short motorsport games make up the rest of the day's set, with more beside them: name a circuit, change tyres, call higher or lower, take a famous corner in 3D.
About Lapdle
Lapdle is a daily racing line challenge played in the browser, free and with no account or download. Its main game is the Daily Quali: one real circuit a day, seen from above, with six laps to find the fastest way round it. Everyone gets the same circuit and the same conditions, so laps can be compared.
You choose a line for each corner, early apex, classic or late apex, or move every point yourself, then press Lights out. A car drives your line under a physics model with limits on grip, braking, cornering and power. Each corner comes back coloured for the time it lost against the perfect lap, the fastest line the model can find: purple within 0.05 s, green within 0.15 s, yellow within 0.4 s, red slower. Your best lap earns bronze, silver or gold for its time, or pole when every corner is purple. Some days are wet or run with low downforce, which changes the grip, the perfect line and the medal times. The circuits come from a bank of twelve (Monza, Spa, Silverstone, Suzuka, Monaco, Interlagos, the Hungaroring, Spielberg, Zandvoort, Austin, Barcelona and Imola), so each one comes back about every twelve days, often in different conditions.
The circuits are traced from OpenStreetMap data and drawn with kerbs, run-off and surroundings. Lapdle says it is an independent game, not tied to any racing series or team.
The day's set is five games, counted in a bar at the top of the page: the Daily Quali, Mystery circuit (name a circuit from a few corners), Pit stop (four wheels, then go on green), Higher or lower (ten calls on circuit facts) and Make the corner (one famous corner in 3D). Six more sit beside them: Braking point, Order the corners, Speed trap, Line-up (sixteen tiles in four groups), Aerial view and Lights out. A streak counts the days you play, past Daily Qualis can be driven again from the archive without counting for the streak, and a records page keeps the fastest daily laps on each circuit and the boards of the last 30 days.
The whole site is in English and in Spanish.
It suits motorsport fans who know their circuits and players who like a puzzle with a physical feel, where a small change to one corner shows up straight away in the lap time.
How to play Lapdle
- Open lapdle.com to see the day's circuit, its length, corner count, conditions and the medal times.
- Pick a line for each corner: early apex, classic or late apex, or drag the points to fine-tune it.
- Press Lights out and watch the car drive your line with braking, turn-in and acceleration from the physics model.
- Read the colour of each corner: purple is within 0.05 s of the perfect lap, red is the slowest.
- Change the slowest corners and drive again; you have six laps, and your best one earns bronze, silver, gold or pole.
- Play the rest of the day's set from the bar at the top: Mystery circuit, Pit stop, Higher or lower and Make the corner.

Tips
- In slow corners a late apex usually pays: brake in a straight line, turn in later and get on the power early.
- Through fast sweeps a classic line keeps the speed up; an early apex tends to run out of road on the exit.
- Fix the reddest corner first, and read the coach note under your result for why it lost time.
- On wet days carry less speed into every corner, since grip is lower everywhere.
Questions
Is Lapdle free?
Yes. It plays in the browser for free, with no account and no download.
When does the new circuit come out?
A new set arrives every day at midnight. The countdown on the page points to midnight UTC.
How many laps do I get?
Six laps in the Daily Quali. Your best lap of the day earns the medal.
What does pole mean?
Bronze, silver and gold are lap times. Pole is a lap where every corner is graded purple, within 0.05 s of the perfect lap.
Can I play an earlier circuit?
Yes. The archive keeps every past Daily Quali with its day's conditions. Archive laps are played the same way but are kept apart from the daily board and do not count for the streak.
