on wordy.org

It's Wordy is a daily word game where every letter of the alphabet gets a colour and a value from 1 to 4 for the day. You spell valid words of the day's length, each scoring the sum of its letters, and hunt for the gold, silver and bronze words, the day's three highest scores, to fill a six-word pyramid.
About It's Wordy
It's Wordy gives everyone the same numbered puzzle each day, dated on the page (No. 138 fell on 22 October 2026). The on-screen keyboard is coloured to show today's letter values: green letters are worth 1, olive 2, red 3 and purple 4, and the values shuffle every day. Each day also sets one word length; six letters on the days we looked.
You type a valid English word into the row of boxes, the score counts up as you type, and you submit it. A word scores the sum of its letters: in the game's own example BREAD scores 1 + 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11. There is no single answer and no wrong guesses to lose; the challenge is to find the words that score highest with today's values.
After each word a card shows the day's three medal scores and how many words reach each. On 22 October gold was 20 points (3 words), silver 19 (15 words) and bronze 18 (67 words), so POTATO, at 4 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 + 3 = 19, was a silver. Six bronze words complete the basic daily pyramid, and silver and gold words build a better one. You can tap any word you found to read its definition, share your progress as coloured squares, and open a word archive that lists the top words of earlier puzzles.
It plays in the browser on a phone or a computer with no account and no ads. It suits players who like Scrabble-style letter scoring and a puzzle with no fixed end, where you can come back during the day to improve your pyramid.
How to play It's Wordy
- Check the colour key: today each letter is worth 1, 2, 3 or 4 points, shown by its colour on the keyboard.
- Type a valid English word of the day's length into the boxes; the score shows its total as you type.
- Submit it to see its score and how many gold, silver and bronze words the day has.
- Keep finding words at bronze level or better until all six places in the daily pyramid are filled.
- Swap in silver and gold words to build a better pyramid, then share your progress or tap your words to read their definitions.

Tips
- Build words around the purple 4-point letters; a word with two or three of them will usually beat one without.
- Swap a single letter in a word you already found for a higher-value one to make a new, better word.
- Do not forget plurals and common endings that use high-value letters.
