Hsmdle

Hsmdle calls itself the daily High School Musical guessing challenge. Its board is set on a theatre stage with a marquee-lit title, and the cast is drawn from East High and the three films, from Troy, Gabriella and Sharpay to side characters such as Kelsi and the Wildcats. It links to Mousdle and Pixadle as its sister Disney games.

In Classic mode you search for a character by name, and each guess is laid out in columns for movie, role, status, gender, team, height and the number of films the character appears in. A column turns green when it matches the day's answer, and the film count tells you whether to go higher or lower, so the field narrows with every try. After a few misses a hint can be revealed.

The Emoji mode asks you to read a character from a set of emojis, the Silhouette mode shows an outline, and the Song mode plays part of a number from the films to name. Each mode's answer is picked from the date out of a small cast of 27 characters and 33 songs, so regular players will meet the same answers again within a month.

It is free in the browser, with no account and no ads; a name is asked only if you want your score on the daily ranking. It suits fans of the films who want a short daily quiz, with Mousdle and Pixadle for the wider Disney and Pixar casts.
