Hidden Mirrors shows a highlighted shape on a grid and asks you to fill it exactly. You can only tap a few tiles yourself; the rest come from swiping to flip what you have across its edge, doubling it like a hinge. The trick is to spot the symmetry hidden inside the target.
About Hidden Mirrors
Hidden Mirrors is a daily spatial puzzle that has been numbering its puzzles since May 2024. Every day's level is built from the date, so all players face the same shape, and an archive lets you go back and play any earlier number. A short training section and a handful of bonus puzzles help newcomers learn the moves.
Each puzzle shows target tiles on a grid and tells you how many taps you have. You tap a few tiles to start a pattern, then swipe in a direction to flip it: the filled tiles are mirrored across their own edge, so every flip doubles what is on the board. Flipping off the edge of the grid is allowed. Tiles that land outside the target are marked with an X, and the goal is to finish with exactly the highlighted shape. A history page keeps your scores for recent dailies.
The puzzle works backwards from what you see: you have to fold the target in your head to find the small seed that grows into it. It suits players who enjoy symmetry, paper folding and visual reasoning more than words or numbers, and it is designed to be played on a phone, with the option to save it to your home screen.
How to play Hidden Mirrors
- Open today's puzzle and look at the highlighted tiles and the counts of Taps and Flips you are given.
- Tap a few tiles inside the shape to lay down a starting pattern; each tap uses one of your taps.
- Swipe in a direction to flip your tiles across their outer edge, mirroring and doubling them; each swipe uses one flip.
- Keep every tile inside the highlighted shape: a tile that lands outside it is marked with an X and the attempt ends, so press Play again and rethink.
- Finish with exactly the highlighted shape to earn up to three stars, then copy your result to share it, or open History to play earlier puzzles.

Tips
- Look for the line the target is symmetric across; the last flip usually happens there.
- Work backwards: fold the target in half in your head until only a few tiles are left, and tap those.
- Remember that each flip mirrors across the edge of the filled tiles, not the centre of the grid.

Is the puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. The level is generated from the date, and each day has a puzzle number shared by all players.
When does a new puzzle arrive?
At 04:00 UTC, which is midnight in US Eastern daylight time; the page shows a countdown.
Can I play older puzzles?
Yes. The History page lists every past daily by number, and there are a few bonus puzzles too.
What happens if I make a wrong flip?
If a flip puts a tile outside the highlighted shape, the attempt ends with a Nope and you can play the puzzle again from the start.
Does Hidden Mirrors have ads or need an account?
No. The page loads no ad scripts and the puzzle plays straight away with no sign-up.
