Guess The Country board on desktop with clue cards for France and Brazil showing continent, distance, direction, population, area and flag colours

Guess The Country is one of the daily games on Bored Panda, the viral content site. You name countries, and each guess tells you how far away and in which direction the answer lies, how its population and area compare and which flag colours match, until you find the day's country.

About Guess The Country (Bored Panda)

Guess The Country is part of Bored Panda's Daily Games, a set of free puzzles the site publishes every day alongside Guess The Famous Person, Guess The Timeline, Guess The Phrase and a Daily Word Search. Each puzzle has its own dated, numbered page, and the country game reached No. 166 on 29 October 2026, with an archive of dated pages going back to the end of February.

The game hides one country and gives you eight guesses. Type a country and a row of cards appears for it: the continent, the distance to the answer in kilometres with a warmer or colder tag, a compass arrow, whether the answer has more or fewer people and a larger or smaller area, and which of your flag's colours also appear in the answer's flag. A timer runs while you play and a Restart button clears the board.

When we played on 29 October, France gave a westward arrow and a bigger population, Brazil pointed north-west and warmer with a smaller area and a shared green, and the third guess landed. A short note about the country follows the win.

Each page also has a Show Hint toggle with a riddle-style clue, and readers post how many guesses and how long they took in the comments, since there is no leaderboard or account. The pages carry Bored Panda's usual ads and pop-ups, which a Premium subscription removes.

How to play Guess The Country (Bored Panda)

  1. Open the day's Guess The Country page from Bored Panda's Daily Games.
  2. Type the name of any country and press Guess.
  3. Read the cards: continent, distance and direction, population and area higher or lower, and matching flag colours.
  4. Use those clues to pick a better next guess, opening Show Hint if you are stuck.
  5. Find the country within eight guesses.

Tips

  • Open with a large, central country so the distance and arrow cut the map down quickly.
  • Use population and area together to rule out whole regions.
  • Flag colours help most at the end, when a few neighbours are left.
