Today's GeoDecide board on 18 October 2026: the category Area, France with its figure hidden against Mali at 1,240,192 km², three hearts above

GeoDecide is Geotrivia's daily higher or lower game. Each day picks one category, such as area, population or passport power, and shows one country's figure against another's. Call whether the next country ranks higher or lower; a run has 15 calls and three lives.

About GeoDecide (Geotrivia)

GeoDecide takes the higher or lower format and gives it a daily geography statistic. On 18 October 2026 the category was area, opening with France against Mali (1,240,192 km²). One country shows its figure, the other keeps its own blurred, and you call which way it goes.

Each call reveals the hidden figure and brings in a new country to compare. A run lasts 15 calls, and three hearts at the top count your lives: the third wrong call ends it. Because the category changes every day, from heritage sites to population or area, it tests a broad feel for the world rather than one list.

GeoDecide is one of the numbered daily games on Geotrivia, beside GeoSize, GeoRankle, Geodle, GeoConnections and GeoPaint, on the web and in the Geotrivia app, in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese. They are free with ads and need no account; a Pro subscription removes the ads and opens the archive of past days.

It suits players of Juxtastat and other higher or lower games who want a fresh statistic every day.

How to play GeoDecide (Geotrivia)

  1. Open today's GeoDecide and read the day's category above the cards.
  2. Compare the country whose figure is shown with the country whose figure is hidden.
  3. Call whether the hidden country ranks higher or lower.
  4. See the figure revealed and the next country come in; each wrong call costs one of your three hearts.
  5. Play through the 15 calls, or until the third mistake ends the run.

Tips

  • Think about what drives the statistic: passport power follows wealth and diplomacy, heritage sites follow history and size.
  • When two countries are close, go with the larger or richer one for most categories, and save your hearts for the calls you are sure of.
  • Small island nations often surprise in per-capita figures.
  • Read the category carefully before the first call.
