Flipsies

Flipsies takes the bottle-flip trick and makes a daily game of it. Every day has a numbered set of five objects, graded from warm-up through tricky to hard, and every player gets the same five. One day might bring a pancake, a hardback book, a giant die, a moai head and a wine glass.

Each object sits at one end of a table with a target at the other. You press, drag and let go like a slingshot: dragging down throws it higher and gives it more spin, dragging left sends it further, and a dotted line shows the path. An object scores 100 points for each full flip, up to 100 more for landing near the middle of the target and 50 for landing without a bounce, so a clean single flip beats a sloppy double. You get five throws at each object and only the best counts; a throw that flips and stands up but misses the target is given back, twice per object.

New players start with a short guided tutorial of four throws before the day's set. At the end you get a result card, a view of where everyone's throws landed, and the option to save your best flip as a GIF or as one photo of the whole spin. Objects you land go into a cabinet of 25 to collect, and a streak counts the days you play.

Finishing the day unlocks bonus shots. Trick shots offers 40 set throws, Endless keeps going until you miss, and Free play lets you pick any object, target and scene. Flipsies is free, made by one person, and part of the DLE Club, a group of small daily games with a shared sign-in and a daily gauntlet. It suits anyone who likes a short skill challenge rather than a word or logic puzzle.
